Tony Ward

Who is he? Tony Ward has a CV that many would envy. A model, actor, designer, painter and photographer, there is not much he hasn't tried.

Where can you find him? You can find him alongside fashion retailer AllSaints, where he has joined them for their latest Spring 11 collection featured in GQ magazine.

How do you recognize him? Ward has an inimitable, admirable look, and never fails to look tasteful. Google him, and you may come across many shots of the icon in lets say, very few garments.

A summer essential: the chino

No longer should you have to settle for a trusty pair of jeans. After a warm welcome last year, the chino is here to stay.

A good pair of chino's can add the perfect touch to any outfit. Whether you want to dress them up or down, match them with a pair of boots or loafers, every 'Modern Man' should own at least one pair.

It's Nice That

Yesterday saw the release of an exciting new t-shirt collection by our friends at ASOS. The exclusive project stems from the retailers love for the magazine 'It's Nice That'.

'The Modern Man' will be pleased to know, they have found ten of the most talented British-based emerging creatives across the disciplines of photography and illustration.

The outcome? A series of fantastic limited edition prints and T-shirts.

The Runaway

Following the success of 'The Take', an impressive home grown cast line up for another adaptation of a Martina Cole crime novel.

Set in the dark world of London's Soho and New York, 'The Runaway' is a compelling drama set in the 1960s and 70s, following the story of a runaway girl, a transvestite, and an epic love story.

The denim jacket

By now you will have thought long and hard about your S/S wardrobe, and hopefully moved your coats and knitted jumpers into a deep, dark corner.

However as you will know, we English can never be sure what mood the weather will choose to be in. Even so, whether its a breezy afternoon, or the temperature hits double figures, you can't go wrong with a stylish jacket.

Rick Genest

Who is he? Rick Genest is a Canadian model otherwise known as Zombie or Skeleton Boy, for having a full body skeleton tattoo.

Where can you find him? Once a star attraction at a freak show circus, you will now find him walking the catwalk or alongside Lady Gaga in her new video for 'Born This Way'.

How do you recognize him? Genest is possibly the most recognizable model in the world, with skeleton tattoos covering his whole body he will never go unnoticed.

Shades for summer

Style is all about those little details, so investing in the right accessories is the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. Sunglasses are a key accessory this summer, and right now, a classic, round, preppy-style is right on trend.

Where can you find him? He is caught on camera at fashion weeks across the globe.

How do you recognize him? Tanfani is extremely well-polished. He embodies all the qualities of the ideal Italian gent: elegant, neat, confident and always perfectly groomed.

Summer swim shorts

As the summer edges ever nearer, and you're beginning (hopefully) to plan this years holiday, picking swimming shorts shall be high up on your to-do-list.

It is important you make note of the right length this year. There are a few rules: by no means should they be sitting below the knee - surfer shorts are a thing of the past. While they should rest no lower than the top of the knee. Mid thigh is good.

Who is he? Philip Crangi is a jewellery designer and one part of the 'Crangi Family Project'.

Where can you find him? No9, Ninth Avenue, New York City to be precise. You may also find him looking effortlessly stylish at fashion events across the world.

How do you recognize him? Like his jewellery, he has a gritty, rigged and somewhat weathered look, yet works it extremely well. He knows how to look good dressing down, as well as dressing up. Key to his look is his impressive beard and tattoo collection.

Traditional menswear

Not too long ago I posted several images of the iconic David Beckham looking extremely dapper. In these photos he is sporting very traditional menswear. I like to call it the welcome return of the 'gentleman'.

Tailored suits, impeccable hair and Italian shoes are all very on trend, and we should welcome them back with open arms. It has been too long. Many believe it has come in the wake of TV shows such as 'Mad Men' and 'Broadwalk Empire'.
