Fashion News: Selfridges London Relaunch Bodywear Department

Great news: Selfridges London has opened its new men's underwear and swimwear department.

 

Building upon the store's current space, the new concept measures an impressive 8,500 square feet and stocks over 9,000 pairs of pants, 550 pairs of socks and 350 different swimwear options.

 

If that alone isn't enough to impress, brands include: Versace, Dior, Orlebar Brown and Hugo Boss.

New to the world of fashion: Industry powerhouse Marcelo Burlon has buddied up with Selfridges London to launch a range of kaleidoscopic men's t-shirts. 

 

Having previously collaborated on projects with Givenchy, Prada, Jil Sander and Alexander McQueen, Marcelo's latest venture is a line of graphic tees - launching in Selfridges next month.

 

Coined 'County Milan', the collection features a range of multicultural references - including Argentinean bird feathers, Patagonian crosses and esoteric symbols - and brings a refreshing (and welcome) new twist on the classic t-shirt.

Fashion News: Selfridges to Open World's Largest Men's Shoe Department

It's not only the females of the universe who enjoy shoes y'know? No, us men are partial to a bit of shoe shopping too.

 

To feed our desire for quality shoes, famous department store Selfridges has revealed plans for its latest ground-breaking development - a men's shoe department, which at over 10,000 square feet and featuring over 250 brands, is the biggest in the world.

 

Opening on November 6, in Selfridges London, the new space will stock 72,000 pairs of shoes and include over 80 new brands including Oliver Spencer, Burberry and Opening Ceremony.

To mark the launch of Farrell at Selfridges, Robbie Williams and his design partner Ben Dickens held conversation with Dylan Jones on the rooftop of the infamous department store in London.

 

Speaking about the collection, Williams said: "I see myself as a DJ of clothes. I remix things I like - it's a lot like music. I know what I like - every piece in the collection is based on pieces from my own wardrobe which I love."
