2017 Trends: Bleached Denim

Whilst distressed denim was big news in 2016, this year it's all about bleaching. Below I have selected some of my favourite designs from across the web:

Fashion News: Nudie Jeans Open First UK Store

The news is out: Nudie Jeans have opened the doors to their first ever UK store.

 

Sitting nicely within the shopping district of Soho, the building boasts over 100sq meters of retail space and includes the brand new Nudie Repair Station - where customers can bring along their old jeans and have them altered or repaired for free!

I can't wait to visit, can you?

Stuff I Like: Nudie Dry Organic Prima Selvage Jeans

A SPECIAL look at AllSaints denim

Once the hardwearing cotton twill textile worn by the likes of Billy Elliot and Christopher Chambers (Stand By Me), it is now a must have in the 'modern man's' contemporary wardrobe. Still a long-lasting, masculine men's essential, but now you can look super stylish while wearing it.

As the British well know, you can never be too sure what the weather will chuck up, so by no means is it too late to buy your denim garments. They will see you right through the spring, into the summer, and throughout the winter. In fact, they can be worn all year round. Instead of opting for a lightweight coat (which is still a good option), be clever and get yourself into the habit of layering.

The denim jacket

By now you will have thought long and hard about your S/S wardrobe, and hopefully moved your coats and knitted jumpers into a deep, dark corner.

However as you will know, we English can never be sure what mood the weather will choose to be in. Even so, whether its a breezy afternoon, or the temperature hits double figures, you can't go wrong with a stylish jacket.

This season, denim should be your top choice.

First, a few tips. Despite what you have heard, try to avoid double denim. Though pairing with a darker or lighter shade of jean is acceptable. A rolled up chino will match perfectly.
